I bought the Israel cd this week – you should check it out!!
Had lunch here with co-workers at the Blu Greek Taverna Restaurant – the food was sooooo good.

I love free “legal” downloads – get your fill at Amazon: off the top of my head you can get songs by Fred Hammond, Ashmont Hill, Trinity 5-7, the Anointed Pace Sisters, Earnest Pugh, etc.
Have you tried Groupon? The discounts are the best! My latest savings was a $50 gift card from the Gap that I purchased for $25.
Cheap Indulgence – Nail Polish : I don’t know why, but love getting new shades of nail polish and I don’t have to pay a lot of money for it. However, I have to dress so conservative on the job that I don’t get a chance to wear it.
I love it when J fires up the grill during the week.
August has ended, now September is here!!! Isn’t this year passing by fast? So here’s a brief re-cap of my August. The month started with a celebration of my husband’s deacon ordination, followed by my birthday which was the next weekend. One of my cousins got married on my birthday – outside, mid-afternoon in August heat, but I forgive him. Don’t get me wrong, the wedding was nice, but it’s hard to forget about that heat.
This month offered an awesome singing opportunity with a family friend. I joined with him and a few others to do praise and worship for a local church conference. Also, I participated in my company’s talent showcase at the Mablehouse Amphitheatre. Have you ever been to the Mablehouse? What a nice venue!!
In other music news, I presented a first listen for my song “Magnify” and got great feedback from that. Thanks to all of you who helped out with that. Praise and Worship night has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 20 and it will be held at my church – Cornerstone of Faith. I am currently working on getting a band for that. Most of my singers have already been booked. So things are coming along quite well.
Here are a few things that I would like to do in September:
Enjoy a short trip with my hubby – we just need a little break to “get away” from it all
Put together a group of musicians for Praise and Worship night
Get my car repaired – There are just a few things that I have been putting off with my car for a while and it’s about time to get it fixed
Work on my Musician’s success packet
Organize my songs – I’ve written lots of songs and haven’t organized them in the least bit
Figure out what I am going to do with my song release – there have been some challenges with my song, but I’ll know exactly what’s going to happen with it by the month end
Update: Thanks to all for the feedback. I believe that I have received the information that I needed. The song will be removed at this time and I will definitely keep you posted on the release.

Hey Everybody! I need a huge favor. I need for you all to critique and review my song. Here is what you need to do -
Listen to my new song “Magnify” a few times
Tell me how you feel when you listen to the song
Give me your honest opinion of the song
Tell me which music artists I sound like
I hope that this is not too much to ask.
This song is not a final copy, it still has to be mastered so it will only be posted for a limited amount of time.
Holiness (Take My Life) was made popular in the gospel community by Micah Stampley. This song was originally done by Scott Underwood over ten years ago.
Thank you so much making such delicious philly cheesesteaks. They are so good that I just have to have one every week. Keep up the good work and continue creating such tasty food.
Now you all get to see the bargain hunter side of me. Unless you read The PeachPost, then you wouldn’t know that I am so good at finding deals (Look at me tooting my own horn, ha!).
So the deal that I want to tell you about is $5 movie tickets. You know that this is half off a regular ticket, right? And most of the time when you go to the movies, you go to dinner as well. So this is a really good offer. Plan a date night and….
A few weeks ago, I was rehearsing a song that I planned to sing at church. I loved the lyrics, but one day the words in the song, just ministered to me. All of sudden, I couldn’t even sing the song anymore because I had begun to praise God and thanked him for being sovreign. I started thinking about how big God really is. I thought about how he is so great and awesome.
I discovered this video by looking for something else.
Isn’t that how you find most things on the internet?
Anyway, I wanted to share this song by Deon Kipping called “I Don’t Look Like”. Through all of the low times in our life, thank God we don’t look like all the sickness, the pain and the hurt that we have gone through.
In spite of it all, we look pretty good.
Also, notable about Deon Kipping is that he wrote the song “Praise Him in Advance” made popular by Marvin Sapp.
